Who is this course for?
This course will help you gain the knowledge and skills required for a management role in the sports and leisure industry. It will enable you to make effective contributions in the private, public and voluntary sectors with the expertise required by communities, providers and performers.
What do you need to apply for the course?
This course is for adults and learners over the age of 16. A positive attitude towards your studies is essential. Learners require a high level of English. We are happy to provide intensive English lessons where needed.

How will you learn?
The course is a combination of practical, theory and individual studies. In the management components of this course you will learn through a mixture of practical and theory classroom sessions, including for example, presentations, interviews, team activities, observations and case studies.
Assignments will be set within a sports and leisure context to allow leaners to develop their practical understanding of this dynamic industry. To complement the management components of the course, you will also be given the opportunity to focus on practical elements of the sports and leisure industry.
Where could this course take you?
You may progress onto a relevant top-up year degree programme at a UK university. You can apply your knowledge in the sports & leisure industry as a professional coach, sports development officer, gym instructor, personal trainer, sports coach, sports retailer and the management of sports & leisure facilities.
